The results are in from the UK’s Largest Hospitality Survey 2024! 

Together with a number of other leading hospitality organisations, we surveyed 1,300 hospitality employees on everything from their salary expectations and satisfaction levels, to what they consider the top employee benefits and most likely to make them stay in a hospitality role.

Here’s a snapshot of some of the results

  • Holiday entitlement is the most common employee benefit, and the most used
  • 69% of hospitality employees report being happy in their current roles, up from 62% in 2023
  • 88% of employees consider 'Training and development sessions' as a top employee benefits, yet only 55% of respondents say it's available to them, and just 50% believe they have received sufficient training to feel fully qualified for their role
  • 48% of hospitality employees agree that they get paid appropriately
  • 82% say they would recommend a career in hospitality, compared with 74% that would have done so in 2023
  • 40% of hospitality workers clock up 7.5+ additional hours per week, but 62% of employees are not paid extra for working additional hours.
