Access Adam CHC videos

Access Adam Care Commissioning software is used for commissioning and brokerage within healthcare, specifically for continuing healthcare (CHC) cases.

The time taken to complete the end-to-end process of discharge, needs assessment, and care placement is often too slow, which is where Adam CHC comes in. Our software solution can automate many of the administrative processes involved, meaning more time for staff to focus on the needs of clients; engaging with them and their families to ensure the best outcomes.

Below are a selection of testimonial videos from NHS organisations we partner with, detailing how Access Adam’s CHC functions can support and improve day-to-day operations and longer term service performance.

How has Adam CHC helped the challenges a commissioning support unit faces?

Clinical Service Manager Linda Moss from West Yorkshire ICB talks about the difficulties with CHC funding and the outcomes or withdrawn funding, and how that can lead to disputes and complaints from commissioned partners.

What impact did Adam CHC have on your Commissioning Support Unit?

The clinical director of Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU), Dr Sam Gower, spoke to Access about the impact of Access Adam CHC.

In this video he talks about the laborious process of manually engaging with care providers for tenders, as opposed to how the much quicker automated engagement software can offer simultaneously to healthcare organisations – all whilst reducing cost.

What impact did Adam CHC have on your Commissioning Support Unit’s brokerage?

Senior Business Manager Mutale Bwalya at Leeds Health and Care Partnership runs through their commissioning processes, exploring the direct impact this has had on patients, internal workflow and cost savings.

The key theme is that by onboarding a software solution to handle the lengthiest parts of the data processing, staff time can be reallocated to other areas of the CSU.

What is your process for brokerage since implementing Adam CHC?

See how West Yorkshire ICB used Access Adam CHC software to establish requirements for providers to meet in order to be eligible for bids, and how automation can do the rest to automatically approve or reject applications based on these criteria.

What impact did Adam CHC have on your Commissioning Support Unit’s invoicing?

In an earlier video, Senior Business Manager Mutale Bwalya at Leeds Health and Care Partnership gave special mention to the paperless approach and the cost and time benefits this has had to the commissioning process; drastically cutting down the amount of invoices, queries or complaints about them, and the time involved in handling them – which would be better used elsewhere in the care commissioning process.

In this clip he goes on to discuss how the software actually enhances the end-to-end processes and the subsequent direct impacts to performance by resolving invoicing issues.

What is your process for invoicing since implementing Adam CHC?

Before using Access Adam, West Yorkshire ICB had manual processes for checking and approving invoices. This was held in a spreadsheet and left providers unable to track the status of their invoices, which in turn was drawing regular emails and phone calls chasing up progress.

Watch the video to see how the team has evolved since onboarding Access Adam.

How do you deal with reporting at your Commissioning Support Unit?

Senior Business Manager Mutale Bwalya at Leeds Health and Care Partnership runs through how they manage reporting and Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.

Access Adam offers custom reporting functions so that teams can build their own reports on any field recording data within the system.

What do you do to ensure quality at your Commissioning Support Unit?

Clinical service manager Linda Moss at Leeds Health and Care Partnership runs through how they ensure quality in their Commissioning Support Unit, and how digital software has assisted in their success from a clinical perspective.

Adam’s decision support tools allow communication between administrative staff and the nurses at the heart of the care for regular confirmation that the data matches the real experience for patients and the care provision.

What are some of the noticeable differences seen by using Adam CHC?

West Yorkshire ICB found that Access Adam CHC software was able to speed up data processing and planning for staff, with much greater visibility of referrals on the user dashboard. Every minute of time saved helps, and adds up to hours of workload burden lifted off staff each year.

Patient Portal Demo

Here’s a peek at the Access Adam Care Commissioning Patient Portal. The system gives patients access to their CMS and referral information, whilst also giving the ICB full control over said system to keep continuing healthcare patients engaged and included in the process.

How does the Patient Portal benefit your Commissioning Support Unit?

West Yorkshire ICB runs through how the Patient Portal benefits their Commissioning Support Unit.

For them, this patient portal is both convenient for patients and a way to streamline administration processes. Portals are better for contact and sending digital letters, appointment tracking, patient information readily available for them to revisit without needing a staff member’s support, and much more.

Why did you choose Adam CHC over other software providers?

Sam Gower, Personalised Healthcare Commissioning Clinical Director at Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit, runs through why he chose Adam CHC over other software providers.

For Dr Gower, competitor software didn’t provide either the governance or reporting that MLCSU needed – which is why they not only onboarded Access Adam but provided expertise to help develop the solution so that it could become the best offering on the market.

Advice on adopting a new software to help manage continuing healthcare

West Yorkshire ICB provide their advice for other ICBs looking to adopt a new software to help manage their continuing healthcare.

Mutale Bwalya at Leeds Health and Care Partnership warns of the difficulties if you don’t have collaboration when implementing Adam through regular meetings and discussions about the needs of the healthcare organisation and the training or technical support needed in the early months of deployment.
