Making migrating smooth
Lincolnshire County Council chose Synergy’s School Admissions, Free School Meals and Governors Administration modules in late 2018, having previously used a bespoke in-house system. The Council’s product was no longer being supported, so a more robust, well-maintained management system was needed.
As Synergy is modular-based, Lincolnshire County Council could select specific services to best suit its needs. Whichever modules are chosen, data only needs to be entered once and can be used across systems, which improves accuracy and reduces risk.
Accessing clinical documents across care
As is often the case in local authorities, changes to the current Admissions systems were considered high risk by Lincolnshire County Council. However, our vast experience in migrating organisations from existing education systems meant that the Council’s secondary school offer day went without a single system glitch after Synergy was in place.
The Council’s previous in-house case management system did not feature a parent portal – so parents had to apply through a one-off form instead. Synergy’s portal now provides a user account which allows parents to interact with the Council on a number of issues, including applying for their child’s free school meals.
