At the end of this hand arm vibration awareness training, learners will be able to:

• Define Hand Arm Vibration (HAV)
• State when and how Hand Arm Vibration may occur
• Recognise the signs and symptoms of Hand Arm Vibration and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS)
• State the legal requirements in relation to Hand Arm Vibration
• Understand what types of work and / or tools may pose a risk
• Take appropriate action to protect yourself from Hand Arm Vibration
• Take appropriate action to control and reduce the risks

• What is Hand Arm Vibration - This section will cover what Hand Arm Vibration is, what the consequences are, as well as the signs and symptoms of HAV.
• Understand exposure and exposure limits - This section covers Hand Arm Vibration and the law, vibration magnitude and the importance of task duration as well as exposure limits to vibration.
• Understanding the risk - Find out who is at risk, what tools or equipment pose a risk and how great the risk is.
• Reducing the risks - This section will look at how to reduce the risk, as well as risk reduction options, including good practice guidance

Hand Arm Vibration awareness training is delivered online as an interactive course to each trainee on their computers, or portable device at any internet enabled location. The interactive course is engaging, informative and exciting to use.

Using up-to-date, modern graphical images, users will be faced with a selection of interactive elements and mini quizzes to test their knowledge.

Users will receive informative advice and guidance and will be tested on their understanding of the subject at the end of the course by completing the compulsory self-test elements.

This course also features a risk checklist which asks the user a series of questions relating to their current working environment.
