How Lancaster University integrated Career Centre into courses
Lancaster University was keen to consolidate their online career resources, utilising Access Career Development’s themes and content in Career Centre to support them in providing a 24/7 career resource for their students.
The ways they achieved this were as follows:
- Lancaster University used DOTS framework and Career Edge theories to frame careers education, with the Careers Team working closely with academics in different departments to design programmes and courses, integrating Access Career Development’s Career Centre and embedding Access Career Development’s content to further enhance their existing offering;
- Lancaster University created faculty specific programmes in Programme Manager. An example includes the Management School’s “Our Future Global Leaders” programme which has used Career Centre to further enhance learning;
- For academic year 2019- 2020, the Careers Team aims to continue using programmes to develop their campus-wide careers education portfolio, as well as exploring how CV360 can streamline their careers assessment and student feedback.
