Imosphere and Access announce strategic partnership

The Access Group and Imosphere have agreed a strategic partnership that aims to transform Adult Social Care for local authorities.

Imosphere have been operating in the education, health and social care sectors for over 30 years now, and offers a range of care and support tools for adult social care and SEND. The agreement will see the data experts integrate their budgeting tools with The Access Group’s automated systems.

This integration sees Imosphere’s Formulate tool working in tandem with Access Mosaic – our online digital platform for providing adult and children's social care case management and finance, and the only platform in the UK to do all these functions within one solution.

Imosphere’s modular system includes self-assessments, assessments, and care planning tools that support a strengths-based approach. These solutions help reduce the demand for new support requests by up to 25% and minimise delays and costs, keeping local authorities prepared for changes in social care.

Our strategic partnership also means that local authorities get the very best data, which in turn generates real-time insights for them to manage demand, forecast future citizen needs, and optimise resources – with achievable savings of up to £43.4 million over five years for each local authority.

Andy Sparkes, General Manager for Local Government and TEC at Access HSC, said: “Our partnership with Imosphere marks an exciting step in Access HSC's mission to transform Adult Social Care through technology that empowers local authorities. By embedding Imosphere’s strengths-based tools and Formulate platform into our Mosaic system, councils gain critical, real-time insights to manage demand, optimise resources, and forecast needs effectively.

“This integration enables a more person-centred approach, reducing administrative burdens and enhancing the quality of support each individual receives. Together, we’re helping local authorities achieve sustainable cost savings while ensuring that every citizen receives the right care at the right time.”

This new partnership empowers councils to improve citizen outcomes, streamline workflows, and achieve sustainable cost savings. By embedding Imosphere’s widely used solutions directly into Access Mosaic, local authorities can adopt a person-centred approach that ensures high-quality care while reducing administrative burdens.

Speaking about the benefits of the strategic partnership, Laura McIntyre, Senior Product Manager at Imosphere, said:“At Imosphere, we focus on empowering local authorities with data-driven insights that enhance both efficiency and citizen care. Our partnership with Mosaic provides practitioners with tools that streamline workflows and allow them to focus on what really matters—the well-being of the people they serve.”

Key Benefits for Mosaic users:

  • Accurate and Fair Budgets:

Imosphere’s algorithm ensures that indicative budgets are precise, defensible, and aligned with local authority rates, giving councils control over spend while supporting personalised care planning.

  • Enhanced Care Outcomes:

Imosphere’s strengths-based assessments focus on each citizen’s unique needs, allowing for more personalised care and better outcomes.

  • Seamless Integration:

Imosphere tools are embedded in Mosaic, maintaining existing workflows while enhancing functionality through automated data extracts.

  • Real-Time Data Insights:

Data-driven analytics give councils the power to manage demand, forecast needs, and optimise resources, with potential savings of up to £43.4 million over five years.
