An event to remember
From the moment we kicked off at 9 am with a delicious breakfast and welcome introductions, we knew we were in for a great day. Our guests were treated to a jam-packed agenda designed to showcase the latest features in Access Education Finance and Budgets, provide valuable training, and offer practical tips to help schools streamline their budgeting processes.
Our lovely Jack Webster and Kaele Mayor from The Access Education team led the sessions, diving deep into tools like the maternity calculator, payroll reconciliation, and enhanced reporting features that our attendees found invaluable. We also introduced our new reforecasting tool, which promises to transform how schools manage their finances. One attendee mentioned, “I can’t wait to get back to school and start using the reforecasting feature. It’s going to make our budget tracking so much easier!”
Valuable insights from our customer
We were thrilled to have Lucy Mallinson, School Business Manager at Benchill Primary School, share her experiences with us at the event. Lucy was relatively new to the education sector when she started using Access Education Budgets, and she couldn’t have been more positive about the impact the software has had on her role.
"Access has really helped me understand school budgeting, and after just six months, it’s become part of my everyday job,” Lucy shared during her video interview at the roadshow. She particularly highlighted the value of the payroll reconciliation tool, which she described as “very helpful” for managing the large number of staff at her school. Lucy told us, "The system’s simplicity and intuitive design are key for me, especially with the amount of work school business managers have to juggle. Anything that can save time is invaluable."
Another guest, Diane Hallworth, Business Manager at Bridgelea Primary School, echoed these sentiments. Joan told us that she found the event incredibly useful and walked away with actionable insights she could immediately apply at her school. “The refresher on useful tools and the demonstration of finance integration were eye-opening. I’m definitely taking these ideas back to improve our budgeting process,” Diane said.
Budgets, Networking, and More
In addition to the invaluable training and demonstrations, we made sure to leave plenty of time for networking. Our guests enjoyed engaging conversations over tea, coffee, and a delicious lunch, exchanging ideas and experiences with their peers from other schools across the North West. It’s always fantastic to see the sense of community that grows at these events, and this roadshow was no exception!
Many attendees took full advantage of the exclusive Budgets Workshop offer—a complimentary place on an upcoming session to further their financial skills. This opportunity, which usually costs £150 per person, was a hit, and we were delighted to provide this special perk as a thank-you for attending.
Looking Ahead: More to Come!
We’re already planning our next event, and we can’t wait to do it all over again! The feedback from our guests was overwhelmingly positive, with many commenting on how useful the day was and how they look forward to attending more sessions in the future. Lucy Mallinson summed it up perfectly:
I would definitely recommend this event to any school business manager. The tools we’ve explored today are not only intuitive but also time-saving. This has been a fantastic opportunity to network and learn from others in the sector.
Thank you again to everyone who joined us at the Access and One Education Roadshow. Your enthusiasm, insights, and engagement made it a truly memorable day. We look forward to seeing you at our next event - stay tuned for more details!
