Enhance and evidence mortgage knowledge and competence

The aim of the EU Mortgage Credit Directive (MCD) was to create an EU-wide mortgage credit market with a high level of consumer protection applying to both secured credit and home loans. The UK as a member state had to transpose its provisions into national law by March 2016.

Posted 05/12/2018

The MCD identified nine knowledge and competence requirements which were mapped to the appropriate roles within mortgage lenders and intermediaries. We have used that mapping to inform our new Mortgage and Home Finance knowledge suite. So, whether you work in administration, product design or underwriting, our comprehensive pathways satisfy that MCD requirement as well as upskills your workforce.

As part of this comprehensive update, we have also taken the opportunity to completely revamp and modernise our design and approach. Watch our vlog below to find out more.

Immersive And Engaging

You will meet characters from a Mortgage and Home Finance team during the course. You will be helping this team as they fulfil appointments with customers - and learning along the way. Content is centred on case studies and discussions and is presented in an easy to understand format.

Our Blended Approach

Short animations and videos bring learning to life and provide a blended approach. Each key topic features a video summary that can be used for stand-alone knowledge reinforcement and as ongoing ‘mini knowledge refreshers’.

Track And Evidence CPD

The MCD states that all those involved in mortgages should evidence the “appropriate” level of knowledge and competence. Access Group's CPD tracker enables learners to evidence knowledge and competence. Managers will have access to a dashboard to see how individuals and teams are progressing towards CPD targets.

The Mortgage and Home Finance suite is comprised of six interactive pathways - each covering a key area of Mortgage and Home Finance. The full suite is expected to be live in early Q1 2019. For more information on the six pathways please keep an eye out for previews on this blog over the next few weeks.
