5 ways a CRM helps you hire faster

There’s a million things to keep track of as a recruitment consultant, and your recruitment software should be helping you do it.

When it comes to the busy world of a recruitment consultant, a recruitment CRM is often something to groan over. It means admin, and we know how recruiters hate admin. When you’re jumping from one meeting to the next, having engaging conversations with candidates and running around the city taking clients for drinks and fancy dinners, admin is the devils work and ergo, so is a CRM. However, that might have been the CRMs of yesteryear, because now they’re designed to make recruiters lives easier, and the one thing that will make their lives easier is hiring great candidates, quickly. So, here’s some ways your recruitment software can help you do just that.

1. The ins and outs

As you know, recruitment is built on relationships. People work with people they like and your CRM is designed to help you build those relationships by giving you a fuller picture. A database will often pull information from social media and other online sources giving your more information about the person you’re talking to. It’s also naturally designed to store information and every interaction and so you’re always in the know.

2. Getting personal

We all love to receive personal messages or something with our name on it. Something that we can say was designed exclusively for us. It’s why everyone went crazy over those Coke bottles with their names on it. It makes us feel special. Your CRM works to personalize interactions, keeping your candidates feeling wanted and cared for and making your life easier. At first you’ll have to input digital personalization, however, your CRM then takes over and automates messages depending on various outcomes.

3. Keeping up

As a recruiter you have numerous candidates to keep up with, and for those in the contract market, sometimes hundreds. Trying to keep up with who you need to go for drinks with, who you need to chat with and who needs what information is quite frankly exhausting. Your CRM can be used to input every interaction as well as upcoming dates. It will alert you when a certain number of months have passed and you need to reach out. Keeping candidates happy is one of the biggest pain points for recruiters, and half the challenge is not forgetting about them when you have so many on the go.

4. At the drop of a hat

Any recruitment agency will have a huge CRM, filled with historical and current candidates which means you have a huge talent pool waiting at your fingertips. When your clients are complaining that they don’t have access to talent or they can’t find candidates with hard to find skill sets, all you need to do is search through your personal talent pool that is your recruitment database and pull up the candidates they’ve been looking for.

5. Staying on track

It allows you to communicate with your team internally on what’s going on with various candidates and roles, meaning you’re always all on the same page and the information is recorded in the same spot. No one has time to trawl through weeks of emails looking for that one email that mentioned something about that one candidate that time.
