At Access, we are committed to environmental stewardship and sustainable practices as integral to our business strategy. We recognise the importance of preserving our planet for future generations and are dedicated to minimising our environmental footprint while promoting sustainability across all aspects of our operations.
Preserving the environment
In accordance with our key principle of improving the environmental sustainability of our business, we’ve made a number of commitments.
- Raising awareness both within Access and externally with our stakeholders, promoting a culture of environmental responsibility.
- Measuring, managing, and evaluating our environmental practices, performance, and resilience, to reduce our carbon emissions and waste, prevent pollution and drive energy and water efficiency globally.
- Incorporating environmental best practices for procurement and improving environmental responsibility throughout our supply chain.
Energy & Greenhouse Gas Report
As part of the Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) requirement, we are required to report on our energy and GHG emissions within our Directors’ Report.
In accordance with the development of our science-based targets, and as a result of switching to an enhanced software platform, we decided to recalculate our footprint to ensure consistency in measurement and methodology.
Climate Change Statement
At Access, we believe the science is clear – anthropogenic climate change is real and the effects are already being seen and felt globally. As an international organisation, we acknowledge our responsibility and welcome our role as a world leader in climate risk mitigation. Globally, we have set the following goals:
- Develop science-based targets, aligned with the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) criteria, and submit the targets to the SBTi for validation
- Implement Environmental Management System compliance
- Become an industry leader in compliance with regulatory structures
- Increase our commitment to nature-based solutions to reduce our carbon footprint and support global biodiversity
