Now in their 10th year, The Drum Marketing Awards is the largest of all prestigious Drum Awards. The Drum is a global media platform and the biggest marketing website in Europe with 1.4 million readers a month. These awards celebrate the best marketers and campaigns internationally, it’s also judged by experienced marketers from some of the best-known brands in the world.

The “Recipe for Success” campaign delivered by the Access Hospitality division is a finalist in the B2B Integrated category; and “Access EarlyPay – the challenge of reaching the target audience” for New Service or Product Launch of the Year category.

Katy Hamilton, Head of Marketing for Access Hospitality said

“We are absolutely delighted that The Drum Marketing Awards has recognised our efforts in the B2B Integrated category. Our Recipe for Success campaign was delivered entirely by a small, in-house team, who worked tirelessly to develop  high impact content that spanned across every channel from digital, print, social and events to name a few.  It was the first campaign for a newly created division that brought together five separate products and brands into one cohesive end-to-end campaign. It made a huge impact on the market and was the first step in our journey to developing a strong brand within our sector. I could not be prouder of the team or the campaign.”

Jo Howard, Director of Product Marketing for The Access Group commented

“Access EarlyPay is a new kind of software service; it allows employees to draw down their accrued salary ahead of pay day.  It’s a simple app that transfers money instantaneously into the employee’s bank account.  The marketing challenge, in addition to the sensitivity of talking about money, our research indicated that employees would love the product, but their employers would be instinctively reticent.”

The approach that Access has taken, both designing and launching this service has been driven by making the employer experience as cost neutral and low touch as possible.  Jo Howard adds “It has been an interesting marketing challenge to make this work, but our aim was to take away all effort and financial impact from the business.  We are thrilled that the Drum Marketing awards have recognised our approach.”

Both campaigns have not only delivered on the goal of increasing brand awareness within their relevant sectors, but they have helped generate significant new business opportunities for Access.

Chris Marjara, CMO of The Access Group adds, “The marketing department has grown significantly over the past 3 years, and has successfully supported Access’s growth to being a £214million proforma revenue company in FY2019. I am delighted that we have been announced as finalists in two categories of The Drum Marketing Awards, which follows on from our recent announcement that we are also finalists within multiple categories of the CIM Awards. We have a first class marketing team that is supporting the company’s aggressive growth strategy with market leading campaign creativity and excellence.”
