We have announced the appointment of a new non-executive director as the business continues its global expansion.

Posted 30/09/2021

Shruthi Chindalur joins the board, bringing experience in software and hardware in big tech, SaaS and adtech, having worked with businesses of all sizes and industries both across EMEA and the Americas.

Currently Executive Managing Director at advertising giant Criteo where she leads EMEA and their Global Indirect Channels, Shruthi also spent several years at LinkedIn and technology corporation Oracle in a number of commercial focused roles.

Shruthi has lived and worked in India, the United States, Ireland and Spain. She holds a Master's degree in Information Systems and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science; and is a strong advocate of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Commenting on her appointment, Shruthi said: “This new role presents an exciting challenge for me. Technology for mid-market businesses is undergoing a fundamental change and The Access Group is at the forefront of this. Technology is helping businesses to recover and it is helping them to achieve growth, so whichever way you look at it, we have a pivotal role to play.

“I have been working with small and medium-sized businesses across EMEA and the Americas for two decades and I look forward to drawing on that experience to help The Access Group to further grow its client base in that market. I’ll be working with the board to continue thinking big, to continue to set the industry standard and to continue putting customers at the heart of everything we do.”

Welcoming Shruthi to the board, Chris Bayne, CEO of The Access Group, said:

“Shruthi’s knowledge and experience will be a huge asset to us as we continue to grow. As we emerge from what has been one of the most challenging periods for businesses globally, we remain committed to assisting our people, our customers and partners.

“With her direct experience of the types of businesses we work with and support, Shruthi is well placed to offer internationally focused insights, particularly as Access becomes an increasingly global business. She is going to be a hugely valuable addition to the team.”

News of Shruthi’s appointment comes after The Access Group announced its latest financial results, with pro forma revenues of £480 million, up 53% on the previous year.
