The company has been nominated for the Tech Company of the Year and its CEO, Chris Bayne, has been shortlisted for Tech CEO of the Year, in the UK Tech Awards.
Chris has been the driving force of The Access’ Group’s profitable revenue growth from £28 million in 2011 to £190 million in 2019. The company was recently valued at £1 billion following three private equity investment rounds in 2018, establishing it as a leading UK technology unicorn company.
Having grown from 300 to 2,000 employees in the last five years, The Access Group now has more than 20,000 customers across ten divisions, delivering pioneering technology to sectors including finance, HR, hospitality, recruitment agencies, supply chain, healthcare, not for profit and education.
Hailed as a product visionary, Chris Bayne works closely with the company’s customers, product and sales team. Commenting on the nominations, he said:
“The Access Group has seen tremendous growth over recent years and this shortlisting is testament to the hard-work of our team across the country. Working closely with customers and our team helps me to see how products are developed to provide solutions that meet the requirements of our customers’ real-world problems.
“While it is an honour to be recognised for a personal award, the company’s success and growth would not have been possible without the dedication shown by all Access employees across the business.”
The shortlisting for the UK Tech Awards follows The Access Group’s recognition in The Times Tech Track 100, as one of the fastest growing UK tech companies based on revenue data from the previous three years.
Previous winners of the UK Tech Awards include Ocado, Purplebricks and Dyson. The awards will be held on Thursday 14 November 2019 at the Park Plaza, Westminster, London.
