Access doubles down on employees with appointment of Chief People Officer

Access Group, the fast-growth mid-market software solutions provider, has added to its executive board with the appointment of Claire Scott as Chief People Officer. Access has always prided itself as a being a great place to work with an amazing culture, having been recognised in The Sunday Times Top 100 for the past three years, and now they’re increasing that focus on people with the appointment of their first Chief People Officer. The move sees Claire join from Salesforce where she was Employee Success VP – EMEA for four years.

Claire comes to Access with over 27 years of human resources experience, 19 of those in the technology sector, in a career which has taken in Fujitsu, Cisco and Ciena, in addition to Salesforce. “What I love about the technology sector is the innovation, pace and the ambition to change the way we experience the world,” she said. “With Access you get all of that, alongside working with really wonderful smart people where you see the impact of your decisions each and every day.”

Claire joins Access Group’s board and will focus on nurturing the Access culture and driving employee engagement and experience as the company grows.

Access’s new Chief People Officer believes that combining talented people, an amazing culture and great technology drives employee engagement. “I get very excited about working with leaders so they in turn can create a great experience for the people in their teams. It’s about supporting our employees making a positive impact, growing and having fun along the way.  If we get that right they will love being with Access and as a consequence do a great job for our customers” she continued.

Chris Bayne, CEO for Access, said, “Claire brings a wealth of HR experience in the tech industry, overseeing human resources for companies during critical periods of their strategic expansion. This is another big step for Access as we continue to grow.”

“Having met the CEO, Chis Bayne, and other members of the Access board, I knew that Access was on a journey and a company that I wanted to be part of. Access is a flourishing business with vision, focus & passion.  Most of all it’s a company with a big heart! I couldn’t be more excited about what the future holds.” Claire said.

“This appointment validates how far Access has progressed when people of Claire’s calibre are joining us. I would like to welcome her and wish her every success in her new position,” concluded Chris.

Access Group has been on a period of accelerated growth since its private-equity backed secondary buyout in January 2015 with TA Associates. The business continues to outperform its peers and is expected to record another set of impressive figures when its latest financial results get released in November.
