The Equinix SG1 data centre is strategically situated at One-North’s Central Xchange, adjacent to the Technopolis. The One-North development is a key project under Singapore’s Technopreneur 21 initiative for the successful development of a technopreneur community in Singapore. Power

Equinix IBX data centers are designed with power systems that have built-in redundancy, full Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems with up to N+1 levels or greater, and backup generator systems in the event of a local utility failure.

  • Electrical Capacity (Uninterruptible Power System) – 2 x 9910 kVA; UPS supportable loads (N+N).
  • Utility Feeders – 2 x 22 kV (N+N).
  • Power Transformers – 12 x 3.0 MVA.
  • Standby Power – Diesel Generators 8 x 1.375 MVA + 3 x 2.0 MVA + 3 x 1.5 MVA.

Air Conditioning & Cooling

State of the art, precision HVAC systems ensure guaranteed cooling in this demanding location:

  • Cooling Capacity – 3.0 kVA per cabinet.
  • Cooling Plant – Water Cooled and Air Cooled Chilled Water Systems (N+1); Computer Room Air Conditioners (N+1).

Security  

The physical security of each IBX data center is one of our highest priorities. Each data center utilises an array of security equipment, techniques and procedures to control, monitor and record access to the facility. Some key features include:
