About the presenters

Ryan Sparrow LLB (Hons) ACIM is a Marketing Programmes Manager at Access Legal. Having studied law at university and dreams of becoming a lawyer, Ryan eventually found his way into the legal technology sector where he has gained more than 5 years of experience working to understand the technology and compliance needs of law firms. With this experience, Ryan has worked to create Access Legal’s Guide to CQS Compliance and the Access Legal Guide to AML.

Rhiannon Davies CeMAP is a Senior Risk and Compliance Associate at Access, working within the Risk and Compliance Team at Access Legal. She has been with us since September 2018 and her love for compliance came from being appointed as an Operations Manager at Nationwide Building Society in 2014. 

Rhiannon enjoys building great relationships with her clients which means she is to go to for her clients risk and compliance queries. She has worked with different sized firms from sole practitioners to Top 100 companies along with chambers to help them to become as compliant as they can be. She prides herself in being able to do this in a practical, collaborative and enjoyable way…yes risk and compliance can be enjoyable! 

Rhiannon’s favourite area within legal risk and compliance is the SRA Standards and Regulations and enjoys helping law firms interpret these in a way that works for the individual firm. She also experienced in supporting her clients with AML regulation and data protection legislation along with helping firms gain accreditations such as CQS and Lexcel.

On a personal note, Rhiannon lives with her husband Luke and two cats Sushi and Pickle. She enjoys building Lego and is currently building the Millennium Falcon which is her biggest build to date. She also enjoys playing golf and supporting the junior section of her local golf club. Rhiannon is a big rugby league fan and follows Warrington Wolves in Super League and North Wales Crusaders in Championship. She also has an addiction to stationery!
