And the best part is, Access Workspace is available to EVERY EMPLOYEE in your organisation – not just those who use your core Access software (like Attache or Access Financials)

To get the best out of the software, please set yourself up as an administrator of Access Analytics in your Access Workspace Account. You can then see for yourself how handy this upgrade will be to you and your organisation.

We are confident you are going to love using Access Workspace, which is why we will keep introducing you to the new features, apps and tools available to you and your teams. If at any point you wish to skip ahead with your learning, there are stacks of resources available so feel free to jump right in.

The Access button in the top left of your Access Workspace is where you will find all your apps and products. From here you can launch your core software solutions, eLeave, Payslips, Expense, and any other apps you have.

By using the functionality of Access Workspace alongside your other Access products, you will find a new world of benefits at your fingertips. 

Even colleagues who don't have a license for your main software product can still benefit from the community features that Access Workspace provides - including all employees having access to things like their payslips and leave applications from the one login.

Apps work on your phone so why not your computer?

Highly intuitive and easy to use, Access Workspace apps work just like those on your mobile phone. Now you can complete focused and repetitive tasks with just a few taps, dramatically reducing admin and freeing time for what’s important. 

Apps cut through the layers of administration to get immediate answers, approvals, and log progress. No training, no second-guessing, just simple, quick access to what you need to get the job done.

These are handy tools that are designed to make your day to day working tasks more manageable: to-do lists, post-it notes, find your colleagues, and many more being developed and released all the time.

How do I access this functionality?

In the top right-hand area of your Access Workspace screen, you will see a button called "+ Add App".

Once you hit the button you will be shown a list of all the apps that are available to you. Select the one you want from the list and add it to your personal workspace

You will also have apps specific to your core Access product(s) so that you can use helpful features directly from your Access Workspace dashboard. 

Simply search, click and add.

Adding a little personality goes a long way

In our experience, people respond better to new things if they are recognisable.  Therefore, before inviting your colleagues to marvel at the wonders that are Access Workspace, why not make it look familiar for them first.

This is simple to do.  You can add your company logo, change the entire colour scheme, and even set up companywide shared spaces. But for now, let's focus on the basics.

Once you have a system that you’re proud of, it is time to engage your colleagues! For this, you don't need any additional licenses and only relevant people will be able to access your main Access products. You simply send your other colleagues an invite and, once they accept, they will have access to their very own Access Workspace dashboard. 

There are a lot of different ways you can do this, either individually or in bulk. You can add information using a clever feature called "tags" and you can include useful information such as departments, job titles, managers, etc. which all can be searched upon in the system.

Remember how handy it was to put up notices in the canteen / offices? 

Well, the Access Workspace Noticeboard app allows you to do something similar but in a virtual environment! It is a simple process to set up and you can share important bulletins, notices, news items, and anything else you like with all of your colleagues without ever having to write another internal email.

Access Analytics – part of the Standard Edition of Access Workspace – provides accurate real-time information from your main product(s) in one place.

Analytics is a hugely important feature of Access Workspace as it provides Business and Management Reporting and Dashboards that surface valuable insights for your business.

Before we get into that though did you remember to set yourself up with access to analytics?! That is a great place to start if it slipped your mind!  You could set your colleagues up too while you’re it.

The product comes with powerful data visualisation, interactive charts, reports, and key metrics. These are preconfigured and arranged into useful ‘dashboards'. You can mine information using the Access Data Engine and the Analytics Builder, letting you create your own information reporting.

Combine this with the power of distribution to as many colleagues as you like without the need for extra licenses, and you have the ultimate in self-serve analytics. Create your monthly dashboard once, distribute and users can view with automatically updated data as often as they like.

2. Set yourself as an analytics admin if you are the right person to see the data. if not, tell your colleague who is! 
3. You’re ready to go!

Analytics can be as simple or as complex as you want/need it to be.  There are prebuilt views and dashboards to get you started so don't let the immense power of this tool overwhelm you, it really is simply there to be used, enjoyed, and give you the freedom to get back to things you love doing. 

Many of us are finding ourselves working from home, isolated from colleagues, and relying on tools such as Teams or Zoom to have some element of human interaction.  Access Workspace provides another form of virtual network management which consists of the ability to:

• Share communal notices
• Set up groups based on shared interests or activities
• Lookup reporting hierarchies

Search for people with specific skill sets when looking to collaborate on projects.

Get started with tags, groups and shared workspaces.

Being able to upskill your colleagues with relevant, bite-sized training courses that can be taken at a time convenient to them is great for developing your workforce.

You have probably already seen the Learning options as part of Access Workspace but with Standard Edition, we have released even more courses we believe may be relevant to your organisation.  These courses are available NOW and accessible by anyone in your organisation who has set up Access Workspace.  

Learning is available either through several Apps that can be added to your personal workspace or via the relevant icon in the Access button menu which will open up your options in a new tab.
