The Access Group Charity of the Year program is our way of giving back to causes that are close to the hearts of our people. This year we’re supporting Variety because we share their belief that all kids deserve a fair go.
We’re raising money to help provide practical equipment so that kids who live with disability, sickness or disadvantage can be included, gain confidence and quality of life. Access is encouraging all its Australian-based people to raise funds for Variety with a wide number of fundraising events across the company’s offices and online.
The charity was nominated by The Access Group’s Managing Director of Definitiv, Roy Mellon.
“I am so thrilled that Variety has been voted as our charity in Australia,” said Roy. “Their focus is on ‘filling the gaps’ and helping kids when no other help is available. They do an amazing job of reaching an incredible 75,000 Aussie kids, but we can definitely help them reach more.”
“We are really looking forward to getting cracking with fundraising and every dollar will make a huge difference to support the charity.”
About Variety – the Children’s Charity
Whether living with disability, disadvantage or sickness, Variety helps our kids to gain mobility, to get out and about in the community, to communicate, achieve independence and increase their self-esteem. Their vision is for all Aussie kids to reach their full potential, regardless of ability or background.
With a focus on ‘filling the gaps’ and helping kids when no government or other assistance is available, Variety is often there for families when they have nowhere else to turn and would otherwise miss out.
In 2021, Variety directly impacted the lives of 75,200 Aussie kids across the country. With your support, Variety will be able to increase their reach and assist even more kids and their families when they need it the most.
