When did you join Access?
November 2023
What brought you to Access? What role did you start in?
The opportunity to join a fast-growing global organisation was really exciting. The role I started in was a newly created role which showed a desire for change, improvement and new ideas across Talent Acquisition which was really appealing to me. My role has grown a lot since I started, which has given me huge exposure globally.
What was your dream job when you were a child?
A hairdresser. It would have saved me a lot of money if I’d pursued this career!
What 3 things do you always carry with you in your bag/pocket?
Phone, lip gloss and keys.
How do you think your team would describe you?
Knowledgeable, helpful, supportive and fun.
Is there a book you always recommend to people?
I've just finished The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins, would highly recommend it.
What’s been the highlight of your work so far this year?
Launching a new global hiring approval workflow platform, automating how hiring managers request to hire.
How has your work, your role or your industry changed since the start of your career?
Having worked in Talent Acquisition for over 20 years, I have seen a lot of change. Gone are the days of paper CVs/resumes being handed in to reception. Technology has come in and is constantly evolving. Job boards have come and gone over the years. Plus, AI, which is exciting to watch what this brings. Having worked as a Talent Acquisition Partner for many years I got the opportunity to move into the world of Project Management which I love and get to bring all my skills and experience to Access and my current role.
What do you think it takes to be successful at Access?
Always be curious, always ask questions and always be open to change.
How do The Access Way behaviours (Curious, resilient, cares, flexible, accountable & commercial) show up in your life at work?
I am a naturally curious person, in and out of work, so this behaviour resonates the most with me. I also care about making things better every day and about the people around me. Flexibility is important as we work in a fast-paced environment.
What’s your favourite memory working with Access?
Oh, I have 2, my first being the Big Fab Festival in the UK. It was such a brilliant day, full of happy people, great music and laughter.
My second was my first trip to our GOC KL, I spent 2 weeks in our newest Global Operations Centre in Kuala Lumpur working with amazing people and coaching and training a brilliant team of recruiters.
