They take accounting essentials, such as expert financial knowledge and complete ATO compliance across every aspect of financial management and focus it all on developing the optimal outcome for business clients.

What were the challenges?
Obtaining information in a timely manner
We spoke with Leanne Boulger, the team’s practice manager who has worked with LBH since 1998. Leanne has been at the forefront of everything Access Evo; being part of our early adopter's program for the HandiSoft Evo standard plan and was excited to have input into the development of our AI-enabled assistant, which is already familiar desktop software for the practice.
“There were some challenges in obtaining information in a timely manner with a correct and reliable source. Using other options such as Google are not always reliable, so you don’t want your team Googling for the answers – this can be problematic.”
“I’ve also trialled using ChatGPT a couple of times to do letter to clients, but this isn’t a dedicated program built from the ground up with accountants in mind.”

Leanne and the team have been extremely responsive early adopters of Access Evo, and explained how intuitive it was to use:
“I think the more and more you play around with Access Evo and its features, the more you get out of it. It’s a learning curve to what you can get out of it,” Leanne says.
“Using the Copilot functionality, which has been specifically built for accountants, saves so much time on jobs and can alleviate the complex steps in recording client information, which is especially beneficial for compliance purposes.”

Results
Easier to surface relevant information
Although it’s early for LBH Accountants to use the live version of Access Evo in their practice, they’ve already started seeing initial improvements in efficiency, productivity, ability to surface data and speedy decision making.
“The analytics dashboard and reports enable me to easily contain information at a glance about the practice, and you can download a whole list of clients with a due date, let's say for 31st of October. It is so quick and easy to do.”
“It’s also extremely easy to obtain information relating to targets and performance as well as client group information or information relating to a client’s current situation. For example, if you have a client base with multiple rental properties and a client who wants to know how much they’re paying in total for one allocated expense for the group – you could get that in the report in an instant.”
