Something that employers need to take note of is benefits in kind (BIK). This is an area that can be easily overlooked and under reported. It refers to anything that is given to employees that has a cash value and needs to be reflected in the EA form. This could include any benefits that you may have provided to your employees to help them through COVID-19 pandemic and work from home. It is always prudent to check with your auditor and confirm that you have not missed out on any BIK in your EA Forms.
All private sector employers need to prepare and provide the forms to their employees before the end of February. It is an offence to not provide the information to your employees in time.
Generating the EA Form from Access EasyPay is quick and simple. You can complete this in 3 steps:
1. Go to your EasyPay payroll module, select Reports, Government Form and lastly EA Form
2. Select the year of assessment. You can generate a preview meanwhile to display the report.
3. You can then email the form to your employees
