Diversify Access Charity CRM with flexible integrations
Access Charity CRM is an effective, out-the-box solution that enables you to successfully build stronger relationships with your supporters. However, its diverse nature allows it to integrate with a number of platforms, allowing you to streamline your processes and gain deeper insights.
What is an integration connector?
An integration connector is a type of IPaaS. Don’t be put off, this merely stands for 'integration platform as a service' and refers to a suite of digital products that have been made to link third-party applications - such as MS Office and Eventbrite – together. Read more about integration connectors and why your charity needs one in our handy guide.
While certain connectors can be complex to use as they require technical API integration, the Access Group has teamed up with Make to bring non-profit organisations a user-friendly, no-code solution.
The advantage of a user-friendly tool like Make is that you don’t require technical knowledge in order to use it. Its no-code, drag-and-drop platform is highly intuitive and has been carefully designed to walk you through the integration process. For popular tasks and workflows, a suite of predesigned templates make life even easier, and are quick and simple to edit and adapt.
There are currently over 1500 products within Make – and you can connect with them all!
An integration connector is therefore an ideal solution for organisations with limited knowledge surrounding API integrations.

How do our Charity CRM integrations work?
Integrating Charity CRM with relevant Access software or third party platforms can significantly enhance the platform’s functionality. By integrating with other pieces of software, you can gain deeper insights that provide a better understanding of your supporters, allowing you to build informed campaigns that are more likely to resonate.
We provide examples of how several of our common integrations work below.
Out-the-box integration examples
Access PaySuite
You can manage Direct Debits through Access Paysuite. With this integration, you can collect regular donations accurately, efficiently and seamlessly within a scalable platform. All you need to do is enter your new Direct Debit into Charity CRM, which is then logged with the bank before payments are reported back into the CRM.
Access Charity Websites
Access Charity Websites is our out-the-box website builder solution. You can easily connect Access Charity Websites to Charity CRM as part of our Access Workspace package.
Integrating these platforms allows key information to filter from your website through to the CRM. This, in turn, provides deeper insights into how your supporters engage with your website including event sign-ups, volunteer role sign-ups, and donations.
Integrating these platforms can also support you to:
- Remain compliant with GDPR
- Match website conversion data to final figures
- Streamline payment processing
- Create a connected, trackable donor journey

Access Financials
Integrating with this solution reduces the need for rekeying information into your finance package by sending Journals to Access Financials. You can also send customers and invoices to Access Financials and then track payment of the invoice.
Assemble
Integrating with volunteer management software such as Assemble will provide details surrounding volunteering and the volunteer journey. This information can include where they are within the onboarding process, their rota and both their quantitative and qualitative impact within the respective role.
Integrating Assemble with a charity CRM - such as Access Charity CRM - allows both platforms to be updated with information from the outset. For example, if a volunteer’s contact details are updated within this system, it will feed through to Assemble. This import of information can also move in the opposite direction.
Microsoft
This integration allows you to use our Microsoft Add-ins for Word and Outlook to log documents and emails into Charity CRM. We also have an Add-in for Excel that will let you log a selection of records and then use these to drive selections into the CRM. These will soon be available in Office 365, allowing you to use them in web versions of the product.
Gift Aid
This integration allows you to submit your Gift Aid electronically to HMRC! Our functionality will load payments that are eligible for Gift Aid into a claim and then submit the details of these electronically to HMRC for processing.
JustGiving
Integrating with JustGiving creates a direct connection to this platform, importing the details of your fundraisers, their fundraising pages, donors, and donations into Charity CRM. This enables you to easily thank and build relationships with them.
Mailchimp
Integrating Mailchimp with Charity CRM can provide valuable insights and data for managing email marketing campaigns, donor communication, and engagement. Common information can include:
- Subcriber lists
- Email campaign metrics
- Donor segmentation
- Automation workflows
- Subscription preferences
- Email engagement history
DotDigital
Build your marketing segments in Charity CRM and then push them to DotDigital as contacts lists which you can send campaigns to. Tracking information will be read back into Charity CRM, allowing you to see the responses and judge the success of the respective campaign.
Loqate
Integration with Loqate allows you to search for supporter addresses; reducing the risk of typos to ensure that you track duplicates and keep your data in the best shape. This integration also validates supporters’ bank details at entry, meaning that you can claim Direct Debits as quickly as possible.
Third-party platform examples via Make
Sage/Xero
Reduce the need for rekeying information into your finance package by sending Journals to Sage or Xero by using our Make connector.
Twilio
Integrating with Twilio sends SMS messages directly from Charity CRM. In addition, you can also use Make to connect with a number of Twilio’s other functionality.
Eventbrite
Connecting with Eventbrite will pull the details of your events, bookings and attendees into Charity CRM. By doing this, you can swiftly and simply allow supporters to book onto your events and see their bookings within the CRM.
For Eventbrite, you need to set up three templates which include:
- Events - https://vimeo.com/877923657/384bd70fb4
- Tickets (we are still waiting for this template to be published, so please get in touch and we can supply a link - https://vimeo.com/877923199/a02e392201
- Bookings - https://vimeo.com/877923301/4e47c40153
Google Forms
Use a Google Form to collect data either within your organisation or on your website. You can then connect this to the API through Make to avoid having to manually import the information.
SurveyMonkey
Integrating SurveyMonkey with Charity CRM can provide valuable insights and data for gathering feedback, conducting research, and understanding stakeholder preferences.
Gmail
Access has a template in Make that enables Charity CRM to connect to Gmail as a blind copy service. This means that if you forward/copy an email to a message box, it will record it within the contact communication history section within the CRM.
Drupal
Send details of registrations, donations, or event bookings from your Drupal website directly into the CRM to free yourself from continuous importing of information.
